Classification and maintenance of condensers

Time2024-06-26

The condenser is one of the main heat exchange components of industrial chillers. Its function is to cool high-temperature, high-pressure gas into high-temperature, high-pressure liquid. This is the process of condensation, which is also a heat dissipation process. The refrigerant in gas form is liquefied or condensed in the condenser, which plays a role in outputting heat energy and allowing the refrigerant to condense during the refrigeration process.

CondenserIt is one of the main heat exchange components of industrial chillers, and its function is to cool high-temperature and high-pressure gas into high-temperature and high-pressure liquid. This is the process of condensation, which is also a heat dissipation process. The refrigerant in gas state is liquefied or condensed in the condenser, which plays a role in outputting heat energy and allowing the refrigerant to condense during the refrigeration process.

According to the different cooling media and cooling methods, condensers can be divided into three categories: water-cooled condensers, air-cooled condensers, and evaporative condensers. Based on the structural types of condensers, they can be classified into various types such as plate type, plate and strip type, serpentine tube type, shell and tube type, spiral plate type, plate fin type, and finned tube type. When installing the condenser, it is important to ensure that the refrigerant discharged from the compressor enters through the upper inlet of the condenser, and the outlet must be below; otherwise, it may cause an increase in pressure in the refrigeration system, leading to the risk of the condenser bursting.

Maintenance and upkeep of the condenserMechanical equipment manufacturerThe following four points are recommended:

1. Use purified water as the cooling water for the chiller's water tank, and regularly check to prevent the growth of scale. If scale has formed on the pipe walls, it should be cleaned in a timely manner.

2. Regularly check the internal sealing and corrosion of the fittings to prevent accidents such as blockage and perforation.

3. Regularly use an air gun to clean the dust on the surface of the condenser to avoid poor heat dissipation.

4. When the chiller is not in operation for a long time, the condenser and water tank need to be dried.
