Precautions for Using Heat Exchanger Manufacturers

Time2024-06-17

The spiral plate heat exchanger is a type of plate heat exchanger, made from two parallel metal plates rolled to form two concentric spiral channels inside. The manufacturer of the heat exchanger sets a partition in the center to separate the spiral channels, and fixed distance columns are welded between the two plates to maintain the spacing of the channels.

The advantages of spiral plate heat exchangers are:

◆ High heat transfer coefficient;

◆ Not easy to scale and block;

◆ Can utilize lower temperature heat sources;

◆ Compact structure.

The disadvantages of spiral plate heat exchangers are:

◆ Operating pressure and temperature should not be too high;

◆ Difficult to maintain.

Heat pipe heat exchanger

A heat pipe is formed by a sealed metal tube filled with a certain amount of working fluid, from which non-condensable gas has been removed. The working fluid absorbs heat and vaporizes at the hot end, and the generated steam flows to the cold end to condense and release latent heat, with the condensate returning to the hot end to vaporize again. This cycle continues, transferring heat from the hot end to the cold end.

The advantages of heat pipe heat exchangers are:

◆ Simple structure, long service life, reliable operation;

◆ Extremely high thermal conductivity and good isothermal performance;

◆ The heat transfer area on both the hot and cold sides can be changed arbitrarily, can transfer heat over long distances, and can control temperature.

Its disadvantages are:

◆ Poor oxidation resistance and high-temperature performance.

Precautions for using heat exchangers:

◆ Keep the pipeline network clean. Whether before or after operation, the pipeline network must be cleaned to avoid blockage of the heat exchanger. In addition, attention should be paid to cleaning the decontaminators and filters to ensure smooth heat exchange.

◆ Strictly control softened water. Before treating the heating medium, check the water quality in the system and the softening tank, and only inject it after confirming that the water quality is qualified.

◆ Inspect new systems. For newly installed systems, they should not be immediately alternated with the heat exchanger, but should run for a specified period of time. After completing the operational inspection, the heat exchanger can be integrated into the system. The purpose of this is to avoid impurities in the pipeline network from damaging the internal equipment of the heat exchanger.
