Tube-type heat exchanger - heat exchanger manufacturer

Time2024-06-11

The tubular heat exchanger is a type of tubular heat exchanger, consisting of concentric circular casings made of two different sizes of standard pipes, with the outer one called the shell side and the inner one called the tube side. The two different media can flow in reverse (or the same direction) within the shell side and tube side to achieve heat exchange. The tubular heat exchanger typically consists of a casing (including inner and outer casings), U-shaped elbow pipes, packing boxes, and so on.

The jacketed heat exchanger typically consists of a shell (including inner and outer shells), U-shaped elbow pipes, packing boxes, etc.

The advantages of the jacketed heat exchanger are:

◆ Simple structure, can withstand high pressure;

◆ Heat transfer area can be increased or decreased as needed, convenient to use.

The disadvantages of the jacketed heat exchanger are:

◆ Many pipe joints, prone to leakage;

◆ Occupies a large area, consumes a lot of metal per unit heat transfer area.

◆ Easy to process.

The disadvantages of the jacketed heat exchanger are:

◆ Small heat transfer area, low heat transfer efficiency.

       Jacketed heat exchangerIt is a type of plate heat exchanger, made by installing a jacket on the outer wall of a container, with a simple structure; however, its heating surface is limited by the container wall, and the heat transfer coefficient is not high. To improve the heat transfer coefficient and ensure uniform heating of the liquid inside the kettle, a stirrer can be installed inside the kettle. When cooling water or a non-phase-changing heating agent is introduced into the jacket, spiral baffles or other measures to increase turbulence can also be set in the jacket to enhance the heat transfer coefficient on one side of the jacket. To compensate for the insufficient heat transfer area, snake pipes can also be installed inside the kettle. Jacketed heat exchangers are widely used for heating and cooling in reaction processes.
