1.What are the heating methods of reaction kettle manufacturers?A reaction kettle is a container for physical or chemical reactions, and some reactions require heating, so the reaction kettle also has heating functions. Generally, there are various heating methods for reaction kettles, including:

       1. Hot water heating can be used when the required temperature is not high. The heating system is divided into open and closed types. The open type is simple, consisting of a circulation pump, water tank, pipelines, and control valve regulators. When using high-pressure water, the mechanical strength of the equipment is required to be high, and a coil is welded on the outer surface of the reaction kettle, creating a gap between the coil and the kettle wall, which increases the thermal resistance of the reaction kettle and reduces the heat transfer effect.

       2. Electric heating involves winding resistance wires around the insulating layer of the reaction kettle's body or installing them on insulating materials at a certain distance from the reaction kettle, thus forming a small space gap between the resistance wires and the kettle body, heating the kettle through the heat generated by the resistance wires.

       3. Steam heating can be used when the heating temperature of the reaction kettle is below 100°C; saturated steam is used in the range of 100-180°C. When the temperature of the reaction kettle is higher, high-pressure superheated steam can be used.

       4. Heat transfer oil heating has the characteristics of high thermal efficiency and uniform heating, with lower operating costs compared to steam heating and electric heating. However, its fatal flaw is high danger, and after one year of operation, its heat exchange efficiency will significantly decrease, requiring the replacement of heat transfer oil and heat exchange pipelines.

       5. Electromagnetic heater heating can reach temperatures of 500-550 degrees. The electromagnetic coil is directly wound around the outside of the tank to generate a magnetic field that heats the tank itself, while the coil itself does not generate heat. With the added insulation layer, the thermal efficiency can reach over 95%, with a service life of more than 15 years.

       2. Which is better, electric heating reaction kettle or steam heating reaction kettle?

Among various heating methods, electric heating reaction kettles and steam heating reaction kettles are two commonly used heating methods. So which of these two heating methods is better? Generally speaking, electric heating reaction kettles have a larger power due to the electric heating rods, resulting in higher energy consumption compared to steam heating reaction kettles, and the heating speed is also slower than that of steam heating reaction kettles; however, steam heating reaction kettles require additional coal-fired boilers, and the initial investment is slightly higher than that of electric heating reaction kettles.
