1. Cut off the source of media inside the equipment

If workers need to enter the equipment for operations, it must be ensured that there is no internal leakage of the media stored in the equipment. After long-term use, the sealing effect of pipeline valves may deteriorate, adversely affecting the normal operations of maintenance personnel. Therefore, it is essential to carefully confirm that the valves between the connected pipelines of the equipment are properly sealed.

2. Empty toxic and harmful gases from the equipment

For the treatment of toxic, harmful, flammable, and explosive gases present in chemical equipment, a displacement method can be used. When dealing with equipment containing high-temperature liquids, the stored materials must be emptied first. Then, cooling materials or cold water should be used to cool the equipment, and pressure relief should be performed on high-pressure equipment to balance the internal and external pressures, ensuring the safety of subsequent operations.

3. Correctly dismantle the entry hole

After performing media isolation, displacement, cooling, and pressure reduction on the maintenance equipment, strict confirmation and testing must be conducted before dismantling the entry hole under safe conditions. For equipment containing liquids, efforts should be made to avoid the sides of the entry hole during the dismantling process to prevent liquid from spraying out and causing injury. Additionally, choose the appropriate opening method based on the type of equipment, fully considering the chemical properties of various materials.

4. Correct labor protection attire

The requirements for wearing labor protection clothing are not merely simple clothing requirements. When workers need to enter chemical equipment for operations, protective equipment must serve a protective function. During operations, staff should supervise each other to ensure that safety accidents do not occur due to human negligence.
