Handling before the maintenance of mechanical equipment

Pressure vessel equipment

The parking process must be carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations. Follow the established maintenance plan, manage the connections with other sections, and perform parking operations on the chemical equipment according to the specified process in the plan.

Residual materials in the device must be completely drained.

Before discharging residual materials, check the properties of the materials to ensure that flammable, explosive, and corrosive materials are discharged properly, and residual materials are handled correctly. The materials in the equipment and pipelines should be emptied and cleaned as much as possible, and flammable gases, toxic gases, and other difficult-to-collect materials should be treated appropriately.

Properly control the speed of cooling and reduction.

During the cooling and reduction operation, follow the operational requirements to prevent accidents caused by improper handling of high-temperature equipment. During the cooling and reduction of high-temperature equipment, do not implement excessive cooling measures. After cutting off the heat source, appropriate ventilation should be carried out, primarily relying on natural cooling. Rapid temperature drops can lead to deformation and rupture of equipment and components, leaving safety hazards for subsequent production.

The speed of opening and closing valves at all levels should not be too fast.

When opening the valve, first open the first two latches and pause for a moment to allow a small amount of material to pass through and observe the material, then gradually open the valve wider. When opening the steam valve, pay attention to the preheating of the pipeline, condensate drainage, and anti-water agents.

When parking high-temperature vacuum equipment, first eliminate the vacuum state of the working environment of the equipment.

Wait until the temperature of the medium inside the equipment drops below the self-ignition temperature before allowing air to mix with the gas to prevent air from entering and causing a fire.

The furnace shutdown operation must strictly follow the relevant process regulations.

First, cool down the equipment and closely monitor the impact of extinguishing the fire source on the furnace chamber at various critical points. The equipment can only be drained and low-point condensate operations can be performed when the furnace chamber temperature drops to a reasonable level, to prevent flammable gases from being unintentionally ignited and causing a fire accident. At the same time, during the device shutdown, to ensure the safety of various maintenance operations, staff must closely monitor changes in temperature, pressure, flow, liquid level, and other parameters at various locations.
