Description
The desulfurization tower is a key environmental protection device used to remove sulfur compounds such as sulfur dioxide from industrial waste gas.
It mainly consists of the tower body, spraying device, demister, packing layer, and other parts. During operation, sulfur-containing waste gas enters from the lower part of the tower body, and then the spraying device sprays a special desulfurization agent, forming fine droplets that fully contact the rising waste gas, allowing the sulfur dioxide and other sulfur compounds to undergo a chemical reaction with the desulfurization agent, which is absorbed and transformed. The packing layer further increases the gas-liquid contact area, enhancing the reaction effect. After the reaction, the waste gas continues to rise, and after passing through the demister to remove the carried droplets, it is discharged from the top of the tower. At this point, the sulfur compound content in the discharged waste gas is significantly reduced, meeting environmental discharge standards. Desulfurization towers are widely used in industries such as thermal power, steel, and chemical engineering, which produce sulfur-containing waste gas, playing an indispensable role in reducing air pollution, improving air quality, and contributing to ecological environmental protection.
